Ben Lamb made it deep in 5 tournaments in a row at the 2011 WSOP, with the final tournament still left to be finished: 2011 WSOP Main Event. A poker run that will be talked about for years and may not be duplicated again for sometime, Lamb acknowledges that while good play is a must, without the amount of good fortune (luck) that has carried him through these past 5 WSOP tournaments, he would not have had the results he has accomplished.

While good fortune and luck has allowed Ben Lamb's unbelievable poker run at the 2011 WSOP, without solid poker play and his uber aggressive poker style, he probably would have never come close to achieving the results he has. With 6,865 entries into the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event it seemed improbable or even nearly impossible for Ben Lamb to even think he would make the November Nine. Throughout each day of the tournament, Ben Lamb was either the chip leader or very close to the chip leader. He only had one off day, where he ended the day will less poker chips then when he started. If anything, that day his play made it clear, that even thought winning pots is important, losing the minimum amount of poker chips is just as important on hands where you don't win. Ben Lamb has excelled at both sides of the game and we will see how he finishes off his 2011 World Series of Poker run for the history books.
