Ben Lamb, born on March 31, 1985 has been a professional poker player since 2004. Living his childhood in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attending Jenks High School, he has come along way from the slow conservative Midwest lifestyle to the 24 hour high paced lifestyle of the Sin City, Las Vegas, Nevada. While he initially attended college at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, he fairly quickly learned that college was not for him. He moved back to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he became a dealer at Tulsa's Cherokee Casino (now know as the Hard Rock Casino). In his time as a dealer, he quickly learned and took a liking to poker. He became a local known poker celebrity in Tulsa's casinos as he became a poker shark there and had won several tournaments.

Back in November of 2006, Ben Lamb won not only the Pot Limit Holdem Tournament at the Cherokee Casino Fall Poker Classic, but 4 days later won the Pot Limit Omaha tournament in the Cherokee Casio Fall Poker Classic as well. With a few more notable placements in the Oklahoma State Championship of Poker 4 months later in February (2nd place in the Pot Limit Hold'em State Championship and 9th place in the Oklahoma State Championship Main Event), Ben Lamb was ready to take on Vegas.

Ben Lamb, better known online as "benba" often played cash games online at Full Tilt Poker, PokerStars and Ultimate Bet. With the amount of hands Ben was able to play online, within just a few years he gained the poker knowledge to take on the poker pros, eventually deciding that Las Vegas would be his new home.

WSOP Main Event Finishes:

While 2011 may go down as the year Ben "Benba" Lamb explodes into poker fame, he has made some notable World Series of Poker Main Event finishes in the past 5 years. Back in 2007, at the 38th Annual WSOP, Ben Lamb made a deep run in the Main Event finishing in 156th place. Two years later, in 2009, Ben "benba" Lamb finished 14th Place at the 2009 40th Annual World Series of Poker. So as it seems, every other year since Ben began playing in the WSOP, he makes a very deep run, with each year getting close to the coveted prize in poker: Main Event Bracelet.

Now in 2011, Ben Lamb is a part of the November Nine. With each finish in the Main event on "odd" numbered years progressively getting better, it seems Ben Lamb may achieve the improbable. We will find out soon.
